The word “triage” keeps coming up in talk of Democrat strategy lately, as the Democrats have to give up seats or even whole states for dead, leaving candidates to fend for themselves (presumably to fail).
Barbara Boxer is continuing that trend. She has a new television ad out, which the Sacramento Bee points out is running in “the Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego media markets.”
That’s interesting because of the markets it leaves out: the ones right down the middle of the state, including Bakersfield and Fresno. Boxer is giving up the bulk of the central valley to Carly Fiorina. In fact Stockton and Modesto count as part of the Sacramento Television Market Area, so technically we don’t know if the ad will be shown there, either, or just in Sacramento proper.

Good evening. I’ve been hung up today and unfortunately could not do my usually full range of reading for tonight, but I have a few Net Neutrality points to make tonight, so here we go.
First, AT&T has apparently come out against the Verizon-Google Net Neutrality proposal, writing to the FCC in favor of paid prioritization of Internet traffic. So much for this proposal being a huge benefit for big, wireless-heavy firms, eh?
Of course, there’s some political scheming already going on with Net Neutrality, too, beyond the corporate posturing going on.

They’re coming. Planned Parenthood is probably the most successful private vendor of death since Tesch und Stabenow m.b.H. made a killing selling Zyklon B to the Nazis. Planned Parenthood makes millions off of its abortion factories, and now the firm is on the political march for one of its dearest, but most vulnerable, allies in the Senate: Barbara Boxer.

The Orange County Register ran a doom and gloom article on abortion, saying that a Field Poll release suggests abortion will drive statewide elections this year. This is important because Carly Fiorina is a three-exception pro-life Republican.
But there’s one big, honking problem with that theory, and the Register‘s Dena Bunis even mentions it:
Among Boxer supporters, 82 percent support abortion rights. Of those who back Fiorina, 55 percent favor them.
If 55% of Carly Fiorina’s backers are pro-Roe v. Wade, then that undercuts any theory that abortion is driving the election in California this year.
